Dear you,
I have sat at the same marble table for twenty-two years. The uncle who takes my order no longer asks. Kopi-O kosong, kaya toast, two eggs so soft they tremble. Some mornings that small ritual is the only thing that gets me out of bed — and I want you to know that is enough of a reason.
Whatever you are carrying tonight — the results, the rejection email, the silence from someone you love — it feels like the whole story. It is not. It is one bad page. Tomorrow morning there is toast, crisp at the edges, and butter that melts exactly the same way it did when you were seven and the world was simpler.
So stay for breakfast. That is all I am asking. One more breakfast. And the morning after that, we will negotiate again over coffee.
慢慢来。Take it slow.

With warmth, and a full stomach
